Billy Jack and I grew up in the same neighborhood in Amelia. He was always very nice to us "younger ones" and we liked being around him. Later, he and I worked at Gulf States. I enjoyed reconnecting with him. He was so proud of Chelbi and adored her. Chelbi, you and your family have my deepest sympathy.

I have known Billy Jack since I was a young kid, I think all the girls at one time or another has had a crush on Billy Jack, myself included.. in 1980, I was living with my Aunt Johnnie and Uncle Donald, Billy Jacks coming for supper Aunt Johnnie told me, so I volunteered to cook chicken and dumplings, I was so excited to wow him with my culinary skills. So un be known to me at the time, I put lid on my pot, and ya know what happens when you do that, the dumplings disappear, 😂LOL, we all laughed about it, Aunt Johnnie told me how to fix it, and eventually we got to have some chicken and dumplings. But Billy Jack had a way of making you feel comfortable, no matter what, and always had smile that went from his mouth to his eyes. Rest with the Lord BJ. You will always be fondly remembered.

B. J. worked with me both at Beaumont (GSU) and GSU & ENTERGY (SABINE STATION POWER) where we were both Instrument Techs. I will miss him so much at the monthly luncheons. He was definitely a gentleman and a very dear friend.
