Billy Edward Bishop, 69, of Orange, died Thursday, January 6, 2011, at his home.
Funeral services will be 2:00 p.m. Saturday, January 8, 2011, at Claybar Funeral Home Chapel in Bridge City. Cremation will follow at Claybar Haven of Rest Crematory in Bridge City.
Visitation will begin at 12:00 p.m. Saturday prior to the service.
Born in Jefferson City, Missouri on January 18, 1941, Billy was the son of Frank Elsworth Bishop and Carmen Nell Hatcher Bishop. He enjoyed hunting with his sons and grandsons.
Billy is survived by his wife of almost 52 years, Jacqueline "Jackie" Bishop of Mauriceville; daughters, Karen Standley Runyon of Texarkana and Rhonda Haley Bishop of Mauriceville; and sons, Billy Bishop of Orange and Mike Bishop of Mauriceville.
He is also survived by his 9 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; and sister, Joanne Borel of Orangefield.
