Graveside services for Bobby Franklin Goza, Sr., 78, of Beaumont will be held Friday, February 15, 2013 at 2:00 p.m. at Haven of Rest Cemetery. A gathering of family and friends will be Thursday, February 14, 2013 from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. at Claybar Kelley-Watkins Funeral Home in Beaumont.

Bobby was born February 20, 1934 in Morton, Mississippi to the Late Myrtle Williamson and Luther D. Goza and passed away at his residence on February 12, 2013. Bobby was a longtime resident of Beaumont and had been involved is various business ventures in Southeast Texas.
He was the owner of Bill's Produce from 1977 until 2000; worked for Midcity Motors for 27 years; he and his partner developed and operated the Golden Triangle Drag Strip on Twin City Highway; he was a partner in establishing numerous slot car tracks throughout Southeast Texas; and was a partner in 10-32 Supply.
Bobby was an avid flower gardener who had beautiful rose and daylily gardens each year and he was passionate about animals. Bobby and his wife, Dolores would provide home to lost or abandoned cats and dogs and they would feed the raccoons and neighborhood critters. For the many abandoned animals fortunate enough to cross Bobby's path, they found a warm and loving home.
In additional to numerous cats, dogs and birds, Bobby is survived by his loving wife, Dolores of Beaumont; daughter, Cynthia Brown and husband, Steve, of Beaumont; son, Bobby Goza, Jr. of Groves; and grandson, Sebe A. Brown of St. Joseph, Lousiana.
He was preceded in death by his sisters, Shirley Sloan, Wilda Rigsby, Elois Anderson and Mildred Clegg; and brother, Edward Goza.
