Bonnie Louise Burris
Bonnie Louise Burris, 75, of Bridge City, Texas, passed away on March 1, 2023, at her home.
A graveside service will be held at 2:00 p.m., Sunday, March 5, 2023, at Hillcrest Memorial Gardens in Orange, Texas.
Visitation will be held prior to the service from 12:30 p.m. to 2:00 p.m., Sunday, at Claybar Funeral Home in Orange.
Born in Baton Rouge, Louisiana, on March 23, 1947, she was the daughter of Walter “Pud” Burris and Annie Faye Davis. Bonnie was the first ever female operator hired on to Gulf States Utilities, where she also worked as a Lab Technician for 20 years. During her free time, she loved to quilt, sew, and work in the yard. Bonnie was a big animal lover. She unconditionally supported her children and grandchildren in all of their activities. Bonnie attended every ball game, band concert, and class party that she could. She was a cheerleader in the stands for the Pirates, Bulldogs, Cardinals, Panthers, and Bears. Bonnie’s loved ones will hold their memories of her close to their hearts forever.

She is preceded in death by her husband, David Palmer; and parents, Walter and Annie Davis.
She is survived by her daughters, Tammy B. Whitehead of Orange, Texas, Teri B. Goodwin and husband, Greg of Deweyville, Texas, and Lucinda Vines and husband, Anthony Glen of Bridge City, Texas; grandchildren, Cory Baker, Brian Goodwin and wife, Samantha, Brittney Pollock, Brett Goodwin, Dillon Vines, Garrett Vines and wife, Kourtney, Dawson Vines, Marshall Henry and wife Marcella, and Evan Palmer; great-grandchildren, Braydan Baker, Brendan Pollock, Jordan Pollock, Jacob Pollock, Mason Spoonemoore, Everlee Rogue, Jaxson Phelps, Carsn Phelps, Kaliyah Goodwin, Ayden Goodwin, Alyson Goodwin, Wesson Vines and Whitley Vines, Palmer Henry, Remy Henry, and Cameron Henry; great-great-grandchild, Adrian Pollock; brother, Walter H. Burris III and his daughter Amy; sisters, Ava B. Profota and husband, Dennis, and Faith Fuller and her son David; stepchildren, Jennifer Adams and husband Kevin, Mike and wife Victoria, and Brad and wife Amy; numerous nieces and nephews; and many other loving family and friends.
Serving as pallbearers will be Garrett Vines, Dawson Vines, Brendan Vines, Jacob Pollock, Jordan Pollock, Carson Phelps, and Ayden Goodwin. Honorary pallbearers are Jaxson Phelps, Mason Spoonemoore, Dillon PollockBo, and Wesson Vines.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to the Humane Society or Adopt-A-Pet.
