Obituary
Brenda Louise (Hebert) Ellison, 60, of Mauriceville, Texas passed away Thursday, August 23, 2018, in Beaumont, Texas after a brief illness. She was born in Heidelberg, Germany on October 30, 1957.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m., Monday, August 27, 2018, at Old First Orange Baptist Church in Orange. Officiating will be Bro. Keith Meyer. Burial will follow at Hillcrest Memorial Gardens in Orange.
Visitation will be held prior to the service, beginning at 1 p.m.
Brenda is preceded in death by her sister Pamela Hebert, grandparents Wilfred and Lucy Hebert, Freida Choate, and Elby Graves.
Brenda worked many years as a nurse’s aide then went back to school and got her LVN and then her RN degrees. She taught nursing at Lamar University in Port Arthur for several years. Most recently she work as a home health nurse until she couldn't work anymore due to health issues. She loved helping people.
Those left to treasure her are her husband of 23 years Michael Ellison, her mother Janet Hebert of Mauriceville, her sisters Elizabeth Laughlin and Shannon Sanders and husband Jason of Mauriceville, her brother Michael Hebert and wife Debbie of Buna, her stepchildren Mandy Lott, Stephanie Ellison, Jackie Honke, and her 12 step grandchildren. She had many nieces and nephews who loved her. She also leaves behind her fur babies, Buddy and Jake, who will miss her terribly.
