Brenda Gaye White, 74, of Orange, Texas, passed away on April 4, 2026, in Beaumont.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, April 18, 2026, at St. Paul CME Church in Orange. Officiating will be Dr. Ken Campbell.
Visitation will begin prior to the service at 10:00 a.m., Saturday, April 18, 2026, at St. Paul CME in Orange.
Born in Orange, Texas, on February 17, 1952, she was the daughter of Carol Malbrough and Christine (Archie) White. Brenda’s life journey took her through various cities in Texas, including Houston, Beaumont, Port Arthur, and her birthplace, Orange. She was a proud graduate of BCP High School, Class of 1970, and also a class member of Lutcher Stark High School. Furthering her education, Brenda attended Chenier Business College, where she specialized in administration and accounting. Her professional path included positions at Livingston Shipyard and the City of Orange. Later, she pursued her passion at Beaumont Beauty College, where she trained to become a nail technician. Her faith was a cornerstone of her life. Brenda was baptized at an early age at St. Paul C.M.E. Church. She also attended New Light Church of Houston and Household of Faith Community Church of Houston, under the leadership of Dr. Kenneth Campbell. Brenda often visited churches throughout the Golden Triangle, seeking prayer and spiritual guidance. An avid shopper and true fashionista, Brenda always kept up with the latest trends. She was rarely seen without her beloved sidekick, her pet dog, Queenie.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Carol Malbrough and Christine White; and great grandmother, Johnnie Archie.
She is survived by her sister, Beverly Whitaker; brother, Willie Geter (Linda); half-sister, Michelle Peterson (Steven); nieces, Sharon Jones Jaco (Allen), Anjanette Davis (Wendell), and Shalynn Jones; nephews, Kenton James (Jessica), Donovan Jones (Mary), Cadin Jones, Kamden James, Gary McClelland, Derrick Geter; goddaughter, Cheldra Sezer; best friend and sister, Anne Marie Jones; a host of loving cousins and other family and friends.
Cremation will be held under the direction of Claybar Funeral Home in Orange.
