Brent Edward Huckabay, 61, of Bridge City, Texas, passed away on August 18, 2024, at Baptist Hospital in Beaumont, Texas.  

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m., Tuesday, August 27, 2024, at Claybar Funeral Home in Bridge City. Officiating will be Deacon Steven Obernuefemann. Burial will follow at Greenlawn Memorial Park in Groves.

Visitation will begin prior to the service at 1:00 p.m., Tuesday, August 27, 2024, at Claybar Funeral Home in Bridge City.

Born in Port Arthur, Texas, on April 3, 1963, he was the son of Lawrence Earl Huckabay and Geraldine (Landry) Huckabay. Brent was a proud graduate of Bridge City High School, where he excelled in and laid the foundation for a lifelong passion for sports and camaraderie. Brent went on to further his education at Lamar, earning his bachelor’s degree, which opened the doors to his successful career as the owner of Frontier Motors. His dedication to his work in the car business was evident, as he was known for his exemplary service and deep commitment to his customers. Family was at the heart of Brent's life. He cherished every moment spent with them, creating lasting memories through shared experiences of hunting and fishing. Brent was also a member of St. Henry Catholic Church, reflecting his strong faith and sense of community. Brent will be remembered not only for his business acumen but also for the love and joy he brought into the lives of those around him. His legacy will continue to shine brightly through the countless lives he touched.

He is preceded in death by his wife, Sandi Huckabay; and his brother, Bruce Huckabay.

He is survived by his loving parents, Lawrence and Geraldine Huckabay; his stepsons, Jared Bird and wife Sylvia, and Jeremy Bird; his godson, Travis Verrett; and his cherished step-grandchildren, Brent Anthony Bird, Michael Bird, and McKenna Bird. He shared a special bond with his brothers, Larry Huckabay, Leslie Huckabay, and Brian Huckabay and wife Mary Ann, as well as sisters Sharon Verrett and husband Leo, and Mary Louise Stonecipher and husband Rick. Brent also leaves behind numerous nieces, nephews, and other loving family and friends who will miss him dearly.

Serving as pallbearers will be Larry Huckabay, Leslie Huckabay, Ricky Kibodeaux, Leo Verrett, Travis Verrett, Cade Huckabay, and Rick Stonecipher.
