Brittney Lynn Welch, 23, of Moss Bluff, Louisiana, died Saturday, September 13, 2008, at Tulane Medical Center in New Orleans, Louisiana.
Funeral services will be 10:00 a.m. Friday, September 19, 2008, at Calvary Baptist Church in Deweyville, with Reverend John Fortenberry officiating.
Burial will follow at King Cemetery in Hartburg, under the direction of Claybar Funeral Home in Orange.
Visitation will be 5:30 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. Thursday, at the church.
Brittney was born in Orange on November, 4, 1984. She was a homemaker and attended Calvary Baptist Church in Deweyville.
Preceded in death by her grandfather, Caleb French, Brittney is survived by her parents, C.A. and Barbara Welch of Deweyville; mother, Kathy Welch; fiancé, Michael Piper of Moss Bluff; grandparents, Clyde and Beth Welch of Deweyville, Charles and Vernie Burks of Mauriceville and Betty French of West Orange.
Also surviving are her sibling and their spouses, Charlie and Crystal Welch of Mauriceville, Lisa Raymer and Wayne Talbert, John and Laci Raymer, all of Deweyville, Ben Raymer and Niki Newkirk of Bridge City; nieces and nephews, Aleigha Raymer, Bryce Raymer, Caden Welch, Ethan Raymer and Lela Welch.
Serving as pallbearers will be Brian Goodwin, John Richard, Alvin Richardson, Greg Watkins, John Vallery, Joe Smith and Darren Welch.
