Arlo Morgan, 80, of Orange, passed away on October 29, 2021, at his home in Brookland, Texas.
A celebration of life will be 12:00 p.m., Friday, November 5, 2021, at Claybar Funeral Home in Orange. Visitation will be held prior to the service from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m., Friday, at Claybar Funeral Home in Orange.
Officiating will be Dr. Gary McCormick of First Christian Church in Orange. Burial will follow at Orange Forest Lawn in West Orange.
Arlo was born in New Jersey on September 21, 1941, and lived in Orange most of his life before retiring to the lake with the love of his life Betty. He graduated from Little Cypress Mauriceville in 1960. Arlo worked as an electrician and was a member of the local IBEW. Arlo had a love for fishing and spending time outdoors. He loved his days at the lake with his family, drinking coffee on his back porch, dancing, and keeping everyone that knew him entertained with his unique sense of humor. Arlo’s biggest joy came from his grandchildren who called him “PeePaw”. He could always put a smile on their face. He leaves behind a legacy of love to all who knew him and will be deeply missed.
He was preceded in death by his loving wife of 45 years, Betty Ann Morgan; son, Keith Anthony; parents, John and Mildred (Myers) Morgan; and his brother, Virgil Morgan.
He is survived by his daughter, Sheryl Parker and husband James (Bubba); grandchildren, Heather Camp and husband Michael and Hannah Murphy and husband Kyle; as well as his great grandchildren, Kinley and Lucas Camp.
The family would like to send a special thank you to Mr. Morgan’s caregivers, Chris and Melody and to nurses, Nicole and Cassie at Affinity Hospice.

Sheryl, We are so sorry for the loss of your Father. We will be praying for you and your family during this time. Arlo is resting in the arms of God now. He will be dancing with your beloved Mother to that Cajun music now. They did that so well. He will be dearly missed by all who knew him. He was definitely a man who knew how to fish and he cooked the best fish. Love The Bassham's

Great memories of Arlo, dancing at the Big Oaks, La., riding motorcycles together. Arlo was a lot of fun to be around. He came to my fights when I was boxing in Orange at the Armory. I hate it so much to learn of his passing. Mike Defee Nederland High Graduate 1960.

I’m so sorry for the loss of your dad. Many memories were made by him and Lovell Sullivan, and by the 4 of us while Betty was still alive and we were all young. I know he will be missed, he was an awesome presence. My prayers of peace and comfort are sent to you from the Holy Spirit for the days and weeks to come. Jackie Sullivan
