Bryant Burr

Funeral services for Bryant Burr, 84, of Vidor, will be held on Friday, June 19, 2009, at 10:00 a.m. in the Apostolic Church with Rev. Marvin Cole, Rev. Mike LaBrie, and Rev. L.F. Long officiating. Interment will follow at Davis Cemetery. There will be a gathering of friends and family on Thursday, June 18, from 6:00 to 9:00 at Claybar Kelley-Watkins Funeral Home. Mr. Burr was born February 25, 1925 in Merryville, LA to Buck and Mamie Burr and passed away on June 16, 2009 in Lafayette, LA.
He retired from Entex/United Gas Co. and was a WWII U.S. Army veteran.
Mr. Burr is preceded in death by his wife, Mary Frances Burr; his parents; and brothers, Rev. Murray E. Burr and Rollie Burr. Those left to cherish his memory are daughters and sons-in-law, Charlotte and Lynn Hickingbottom of Lake Charles, Lynette and Rev. Dennis Clark of Kingwood, TX, and Anita and Milton d'Augereau of Breaux Bridge; seven grandchildren, twelve great-grandchildren; sisters, Mary Alice Alston and Bertha Mae McCarty; brother, Charles Burr; and numerous nieces and nephews
