C.H. Williams, Jr.
C.H. Williams, Jr., 96, of Vidor, Texas, passed away on December 24, 2016, in Beaumont, Texas.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m., Wednesday, December 28, 2016, at Grace Lutheran Church at 2300 Eddleman Rd. Orange, Texas 77630. Officiating will be Reverend Tom Haas. Burial will follow at Williamson Cemetery in Vidor.
Visitation will be prior to the service beginning at 10:00 a.m.
Born in Many, Louisiana, on January 25, 1920, he was the son of C.H. and Mary Williams. C.H. worked at Malone and Hyde as a sales manager before becoming the owner of Goobers Grocery Store in Vidor for 20 years. He enjoyed gardening and working with his cattle. C.H. will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him.
He was preceded in death by his parents; wife of 52 years, Grace Claudette Williams; and his wife of 16 years, Maxine Gerland.
C.H. is survived by his children, Dennise White, of Vidor and C.H. Williams, III and wife Tammy, of Spring; step-children, Ronny Kinard and wife Wei Li, of Katy, Kelly Gerland and wife JoNell, of Houston, and Melissa Gerland, of Circleville, OH; grandchildren, Kyle Williams, Kevin Williams and wife Courtney, LuDi Kinard, Natalie Howell and husband Landon, and Tara Keefner and husband Kyle; great-grandchildren, Hunter and Hayden Williams, Ella and Sarah Howell, and Brock, Audrey, and Kaitlyn Keefner; and his sister, Rebecca Hyepock, of Clute.
Serving as pallbearers will be Kyle Williams, Kevin Williams, Jimmy Mercer, Walter Maples, Mac Guillory, and Jerry Caillier.
