Candice Michelle Sleeman, 34, of Bridge City, Texas, passed away on October 16, 2024, at home surround by family.
Funeral services will be held at 12:00 p.m., Saturday, October 19, 2024, at Claybar Funeral Home in Bridge City. Officiating will be Shayne Richardson. Burial will follow at Hillcrest Memorial Gardens in Orange.
Visitation will begin prior to the service at 10:00 a.m., Saturday, October 19, 2024, at Claybar Funeral Home in Bridge City.
Born in Port Arthur, Texas, on November 30, 1989, she was the daughter of David Clifford Pedder, Jr. and Vicky Lynn McCarver. Candice embodied determination and strength throughout her life. She was a nurturing homemaker, who dedicated her time and love to her children, cherishing every moment spent creating unforgettable memories with them. She loved doing pageants with her daughter and being at all sporting events with her children. Candice had a passion for life that was infectious. She found joy in the simple pleasures, particularly when it came to sharing meals of gumbo and crawfish with loved ones. Her laughter would echo through her home as she danced and sang, always encouraging those around her to let go of their worries. Candice leaves behind a legacy of love and resilience that will continue to inspire those fortunate enough to have known her. As we remember her life, we hold her family close in our thoughts and hearts, celebrating the gift of her presence and the impact she made on our lives.
She is preceded in death by her grandparents, Linda Sexton and Eddie McCarver, Sr; and uncle, Bubba McCarver.
She is survived by her loving husband, Jeremy Sleeman; parents, Vicky McCarver and David Pedder; in-laws, Ginny Peltier and Carl Peltier; children, Hayden Sleeman, Lane Sleeman, Westin Sleeman, and Ginny Sleeman; siblings, Latisa Valdez and husband Greg, and Justin McCarver and wife Victoria; numerous nieces, nephews, and other family and friends.
Serving as pallbearers will be Hayden Sleeman, Lane Sleeman, Hunter Pietrowicz, Brayedon Hilliard, Justin McCarver, and Kaysen Hilliard. Honorary pallbearers are Taytum McCarver and Westin Sleeman.
