Captain Louis Gonzalez, of Orange, Texas, passed away on January 7, 2017, in Houston, Texas.
Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m., Thursday, January 12, 2017, at Claybar Funeral Home in Orange.
Visitation will be from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., Wednesday, at Claybar Funeral Home in Orange.
Born in Beaumont, Texas, on January 31, 2016, he was son of Dustin Gonzalez and Tiffany Gonzalez. Diagnosed with a chromosome 13 deletion and holoprosencephaly, Captain was still so full of life. He was a momma’s boy with his daddy’s good looks, loved being tickled, and loved spending time and bonding with his big sister, Emma. Captain loved to smile and had the sweetest laugh ever heard. He has touched each and every person that has heard his story and though his time on Earth was short, it was full of love and laughter. He will be greatly missed by anyone who had the pleasure of knowing him.
He was preceded in death by his grandfather, Louis Gonzalez, Jr.; great-grandmothers, Arlene “Granny” Bray, Delores Copeland, Betty “Granny” Busby; and Frankie Abshire; and his great-grandfathers, Louis Gonzalez, Sr. and Robert Abshire, Sr.
Captain is deeply loved by his parents; grandparents, Shanna Gonzalez and Sheila and Robert Abshire; great-grandfather, Cecil Busby; sister, Emma Gonzalez; and his aunts and uncles, Mindi Vandervoort and husband Jerry, Jessica Thomas and husband Grant, Jeremiah Gregory and wife Tiffany, Rebecca Isaacs and husband Michael, Mikeal Abshire and wife Jackie; and many fun loving cousins.
