Cathye Louise Eldridge-Lieby, 59, passed away Thursday July 19, 2012 at Harbor Hospice in Beaumont after a battle with Leukemia, surrounded in love by her husband, son and daughter-in-law.
A celebration of her life will be 10:00 a.m. at Claybar Kelly-Watkins Funeral Home Chapel in Beaumont Saturday, July 28, 2012. Officiating will be Reverend Brenda Warren of First Christian Church in Beaumont, TX. Interment will follow at Magnolia Cemetery in Beaumont.
A gathering of family and friends will be from 7 to 9:00 p.m., Friday at the funeral home.
Cathye was born October 8, 1952 in Baton Rouge, LA to parents Charles Eldridge Sr. and Beryl Eldridge. She was a 1971 graduate of Beaumont High School and attended Lamar State College. She worked as a Licensed Vocational Nurse on the Dubuis Unit at Christus St. Elizabeth Hospital in Beaumont. She enjoyed, more than anything, spending time with her two beautiful grandchildren. She also loved to be outdoors including riding the Harley, spending time on the water, and she loved to be at the beach.
She is preceded in death by her parents, and brother Charles Eldridge Jr. and survived by husband of 6 years Ronald Hand of Beaumont, son and daughter-in-law Jeff and Theresa Lieby of Port Arthur, step son Kevin Hand of Plano, step daughters Ann Lieby and Liz Lieby-Brown of Bridge City, step son John Lieby of Silsbee, and two grandchildren Johanna Lieby and Timothy Lieby.
