Cecelia Joan Vallery Moore, 72, of Orange, TX died Wednesday, June 15, 2011, at Oak Grove Nursing Home in Port Arthur, TX.
Funeral services will held at 10:00 a.m. Saturday, June 18, 2011, in the chapel of Claybar Funeral Home in Orange. Officiating will be Reverend David Millner, pastor of Calvary Baptist Church in West Orange, TX. A graveside service will follow at 3:00 p.m. Saturday at LeBleu Cemetery near Lake Charles, LA.
Visitation will be 5:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. on Friday at the funeral home.
Born in Lake Charles on June 6, 1939, Mrs. Moore was the daughter of Thomas and Marsliette LeBleu Cummings. She had been a self employed grocery store owner in West Orange and Edgerly, LA, although her greatest joy was being a wife, mother and grandmother. She was a member of Calvary Baptist Church in West Orange.
Mrs. Moore was preceded in death by her parents, Thomas and Marsliette Cummings; husbands, John D. Vallery and Travis Moore; sons, Daniel W. Vallery and Kyle Moore; grandson, John David Vallery and great granddaughter, Brookelynn Boone.
She is survived by her sons and daughters-in-law, Milton and Tammie Vallery of Orange, TX, Randy and Debbie Vallery of Moss Bluff; daughters, Kim Vallery Neel of Sulphur, LA, Cindy Vallery of Starks, LA; sons, Patrick Vallery of Vidor, TX, Ronnie Vallery of Sulphur; step-daughters, Christine Davis and her husband Robert of Humble, TX and Kathleen Rodgers of West Orange.
Mrs. Moore is also survived by her brother, Tommy Cummings of Lake Charles; sisters, Nancy LeBeouf of Westlake, LA., Doris Cummings of Lake Charles; 16 grandchildren; 31 great grandchildren and seven nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers will be John D. Vallery, Kolby Davis, Michael Royer, John T. Vallery, Angie Vallery, Shanna Vallery, Valarie Neel, Yolanda Vallery, Patricia Vallery and Wendee Smith.
Honorary pallbearers will be Joe Smith, Rachel Reed and Courtney Deem.
