Cecil W. Allen, 77, of Orange, died Friday, June 1, 2012, at his home with his family by his side.

Funeral services will be 2:00 p.m. Monday, June 4, 2012, at Claybar Funeral Home in Orange, with Mr. Doug Rogers officiating. Burial will follow at Forest Lawn Memorial Park in Beaumont.

Visitation will be from 6:00-7:30 p.m., Sunday at the funeral home in Orange.

Born in Beaumont, Texas, on November 20, 1934, Cecil was a veteran of the US Navy Reserve. He retired as the Transportation Director at Little Cypress-Mauriceville CISD, and was a member of First United Methodist Church in Orange and the Lutcher Theater Guild. Cecil shared his love for music and entertaining with his family and friends.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Catherine Allen; and mother, Inez Brown Smith; and step-father, Chris Smith.

Cecil is survived by his son, Chris W. Allen and wife Annette; daughters, Donna Benefield and husband Ricky, Cindy Reynolds and husband Craig, all of Orange; grandchildren, Katie Worthy and husband Tyler, Jordan Allen, Hillary Benefield, Keely Benefield, Aubrey Bourgeois and husband Clay, and Abby Reynolds; great-grandchildren, Jacob, Carson, and Adalynn Worthy; and brother, Gene Allen and wife Dorothy of Beaumont.

Serving as Pallbearers will be Jordan Allen, Tyler Worthy, Clay Bourgeois, Ricky Benefield, Craig Reynolds, and David Devilbiss. Honorary Pallbearers will be Gene Allen, H.B. Lindsey, James Bauman, Dexter Bassinger, and Claude Hamerly.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be directed to Orange Christian Services, 2518 West Park Ave., Orange, TX 77630.
