Charles “Chuck” Clinton Petry, Jr.
Charles “Chuck” Clinton Petry, Jr., 56, of Vidor, Texas passed away on February 14, 2018, in Port Arthur, Texas.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m., Sunday, February 18, 2018 at Claybar Funeral Home in Orange. Officiating will be Reverend Ron Perry. Burial will follow the service at Evergreen Cemetery in Orange.
Visitation will be from 6:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m., Saturday, at Claybar Funeral Home in Orange.
Born in Orange, Texas, on September 21, 1961, he was the son of Charles Petry, Sr. and the late Jerry (Glawson) Petry. Chuck worked at OCARC and retired after many loyal years. He had a fascination with eagles, collected Elvis memorabilia, and loved Christmas and getting everything decorated for that time of year. Chuck enjoyed watching old sitcoms like M.A.S.H., The Andy Griffith Show and Gunsmoke and liked to vacation in Colorado with his family. He always had a smile on his face and will be dearly missed by many.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Jerry Petry; grandparents, Kitchell and Stella Petry and Clifford and Hallie Glawson; and uncles, Boyd Petry, Ross Glawson, and Lonnie Glawson.
Chuck is survived by his father, Charles Petry and wife Charlotte, of Vidor; sister, Tara Crowson and husband John, of Mauriceville; step-brother, Wayne Middleton, Jr., of Chicago, IL; nieces, Lanie Crowson and boyfriend Slade Dugas and Lindse Crowson; great-nephew, Wyatt Dugas; aunts, Peggy Davis and husband Bob, Lois Hughes, Betty Mann and husband R.C., and Ann Glawson; uncles, Ronnie Glawson and wife Doris, Jimmie Glawson, and Charles Brinson, Jr. and wife Theresa; and numerous cousins.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to the Muscular Dystrophy Association at 222 S. Riverside Plaza, Suite 1500 Chicago, IL 60606.
