Charles Theodore Brownlee

Charles Theodore Brownlee, 70, of Bridge City passed away Thursday, January 10, 2013, at his home.

Graveside Service will be at 2:00 p.m. Sunday, January 13, 2013, at Hillcrest Memorial Gardens. Officiating will be Father Steven Leger, pastor of St. Henry Catholic Church in Bridge City.

Born in Monroe, Louisiana on July 14, 1942, Charles was the son of James David Brownlee and Irene Maria Bryan Brownlee. He served in the U.S. Army and was a retired police officer for the city of Monroe, Louisiana.

He was preceded in death by his parents and sister, Frances Ann Hammett.

Charles is survived by his aunt, Marie Moore; cousin, Rylene McFaddin; niece, namesake and caretaker, Charlene Warren; niece, Maria Hammett Garrett; nephew, Elder Gean Hammett, Jr.; niece, Katherine Ann Wilson; eleven great nieces and nephews; and thirteen great great nieces and nephews.

Arrangements are under the direction of Claybar Funeral Home in Orange.
