Charles "Chuck" E. Baldwin, Sr., 79, of Silsbee, died Sunday, September 27, 2009, at Silsbee Oaks Health Care.
The family will receive friends for visitation at 1:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, September 30, 2009, at Claybar Funeral Home Chapel in Orange. Officiating will be Reverend Barry Bradley of First Baptist Church in Orange.
Burial will follow at Parish Cemetery in Orange.
Chuck was born on March 24, 1930, in Franklin, North Carolina. He was the son of Harley Baldwin and Allie Humphries Baldwin. He served in the U.S. Navy during the Korean and Gulf War. Chuck was also the former owner and operator of Baldwin Aviation in Orange.
He was preceded in death by his parents; son, Charles E. Baldwin, Jr.; four brothers; and five sisters.
Chuck is survived by his wife, Priscilla Joan Baldwin; three grandchildren, Charles E. Baldwin, III, Priscilla Joan Baldwin, and Kenneth Wentworth, II; sister, Thelma Freeman of Henderson, North Carolina; and brother, Harold Baldwin of Marietta, Georgia.
Serving as Pallbearers will be Dean Wentworth, Kenneth Wentworth, Terry Childers, Charles Coleman, Ben Meadows and Mark Ellis. Honorary Pallbearers will be Bill McKeon, Frank Moates, Jim Dowies and Dr. Wilbur Hah.
