Charles "Dooney" Williams, Jr., 77, of Orange, died Monday, August 2, 2010, at his home.
Funeral services will be 10:00 a.m. Thursday, August 5, 2010 at Claybar Funeral Home Chapel in Orange with Cazzy Francis officiating. Burial will follow at Parish Cemetery in Orange.
Visitation will be from 5:00 - 8:00 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.
Born in Orange on March 2, 1933, Dooney was the son of Charles Toby Williams and Della Bourque Williams. He served in the US Army and worked as a Senior Supervisor for Chevron Chemical.
Preceded in death by his parents, Dooney is survived by his wife, Fay Williams of Orange; three sons, Eldon R. Williams and his wife, Michelle of Groves, Desmond J. Williams and Sonya Dear of Dayton and Gregory "Pinky" Williams and his wife, Traci of Lafayette, Louisiana.
He is also survived by his five grandchildren, Justin, Blake, Jordan, John Cody and
Hannah Williams; sister, Margaret Crowder of Orange; brother-in-law, James "Poncho" McGill and his wife, Carmen of Orange; and sister-in-laws, Helen Robinson, Doris Green and Ginger Ellis.
Serving as Pallbearers will be Justin Williams, Blake Williams, Jordan Williams, John Cody Williams, Mark Duran and Rip Matthews. Honorary Pallbearers will be Randall Peddy, Bill Seal, David Rivers and friends and family.
