Cheryl Ann Alexion, 67, of Orange, Texas, passed away on April 25, 2024, at The Medical Center of Southeast Texas in Port Arthur.
Born in Atlas, Oklahoma, on August 14, 1956, she was the daughter of George Donald Alexion, Sr. and Hazel Hatcher Alexion. Cheryl was a graduate of Dougherty High School in Albany, Georgia, where she laid the foundation for a life filled with love and compassion. Throughout her journey, Cheryl found immense joy in the company of her family, particularly her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Her eyes would light up at the sound of their laughter, and her heart overflowed with pride at their accomplishments. Music was a significant part of Cheryl's life, and those who had the privilege of hearing her sing were captivated by the beauty of her voice. In her leisure time, Cheryl found solace in the tranquil waters while swimming. She also cherished the simple pleasures in life, such as rides around town with Bill and indulging in pampering sessions that made her feel special. Cheryl also enjoyed playing computer games.
She is preceded in death by her parents, George and Hazel Alexion; and her daughter, Athena “Tina” Holden Hill.
She is survived by her children, Frank D. Holden, Jr., and Christine Holden; her grandchildren, Heather Nolan, Jacob LeBlanc, Amanda Nolan, Alahna Apodaca, William Bishop III, Christopher Bishop, Everett Bishop, and Ian Holden; her 11 great-grandchildren; her siblings, George Donald Alexion, Jr. and wife, Marcie, Cindy Peretti and husband, Tony, and Margie Manahan; her lifelong companion, Bill Hudson; and numerous nieces, nephews, other family members and friends.
Cremation will be held under the direction of Claybar Funeral Home in Orange.
