Chester Ray Lindley, 70, of Orange, passed away Thursday, January 2, 2014, at Beaumont Baptist Hospital.
Born in Bloomingdale, Indiana, on June 20, 1943, Chester was the son of Leland Lindley and Martha (Craft) Lindley. He served in the United States Navy and worked as a carpenter. Chester loved his grandkids and great-grandkids. He was a big fan of NASCAR.
Chester was preceded in death by parents; brothers, Melvin Lindley and Chuck Lindley. He is survived by his wife, Diane Lindley of Orange; daughters, Tammy Waters and husband, Clinton of Anahuac, Sherri Ellis and husband, Ricky of Orange, Phyllis Bell of Orange; 7 grandchildren; 4 great-grandchildren; and siblings, Beverly Sweezy of Orange, Gerald Lindley, Howard Lindley, Sue Oensby, and Nancy Beukema, all of Indiana.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made towards Chester’s funeral expenses.
Cremation will be held under the direction of Claybar Haven of Rest Crematory.
