Chris Anthony Garner

Chris Anthony Garner, 45, of Vidor, Texas, passed away on November 15, 2024, in Vidor, Texas. 

 Born on April 13, 1979, in Galveston, he was the son of Thomas Garner and Katy McKay. Chris was known for his passion for drawing and his love of the written word, fittingly describing himself as a poet who was in the process of crafting a book. His creative spirit extended beyond traditional art forms; he was an inventive soul who took pride in building a computer, constructing a motorcycle, and adding to his home, showcasing his natural curiosity and mechanical prowess.

 Throughout his life, Chris never sat still. He found joy and fulfillment in fishing and tinkering, always seeking new experiences and challenges. His enthusiasm for life was infectious, leaving a positive mark on everyone who had the pleasure of knowing him. Chris will be remembered for his unique perspective on creativity and his ability to bring ideas to life through his various projects.

 He leaves behind a legacy of artistic exploration and mechanical ingenuity that will inspire those who continue to pursue their passions with the same vigor he displayed. Chris Anthony Garner will be deeply missed by his family, friends, and all who knew him. 

He is preceded in death by his mother, Katy McKay; his grandfather, Horace Turner, and grandmother Martha Turner; and his grandmother, Edna McMillan. 

He is survived by his children, Kiplyn Garner, Tristan Garner, and Claire Garner; his siblings, Brandy Wisdom and husband Jason, Tim Roach, Emily Buchanan, Avery Garner, and Alastair Garner. He also leaves behind two nephews, Devon and Connor Wisdom and two nieces Kyleigh and Isabella Buchanan.
