Obituary
Christopher Lee Seeney, a beloved husband, father, son, and friend, passed away on May 18, 2026, in Orange, Texas. He was born on July 17, 1985, in Orange, Texas.
Funeral services will be held at 3:00 p.m., Friday, May 29, 2026, at Claybar Funeral Home in Orange. Officiating will be Pastor Robert Edwards.
Visitation will begin prior to the service at 1:00 p.m., Friday, May 29, 2026, at Claybar Funeral Home in Orange.
Christopher dedicated his working years as a Tankerman at D & S Marine Services. Outside of work, he found immense joy in the simple pleasures of life. He loved going fishing and being near the water, a place where he always felt at home. Christopher was known for his remarkable ability to excel at anything he applied himself to, a testament to his dedication and talent. He was a truly great dad to his children, always there to support and guide them. A master in the kitchen, Christopher loved cooking and was wonderful at it. His family and friends will fondly remember his legendary BLTs, perfectly spiced Hot Wings, delicious Crawfish, and comforting meatloaf. He had a playful spirit, always ready with a big joke or a clever prank, bringing laughter and light to every gathering. Christopher also enjoyed watching old movies and had an appreciation for all kinds of music.
He leaves behind his loving wife of almost 17 years, Jenna Seeney; his cherished daughter, Brooklynn Seeney; and his devoted son, Dwain Seeney. Christopher is also survived by his mother, Lisa Seeney Kovatch; his sister, Erica Kovatch; his father-in-law, Ray Broomes; his sisters-in-law, Christine Neie and husband Gary, and Megan Witham and husband Cory; and his brother-in-law, Doug Broomes and wife Tracy. He will be deeply missed by his cousin, Corina Alonso and husband Luis; his nieces and nephews, Amara "Milk Mouth" Breed, Liliana Dunbar, Layne Dunbar, Kaleigh Dunbar, Jacob Broomes and wife Ashlynn, Ethan Broomes and fiancé Cami Bruner, Reagan Broomes, Emily Pendrey and spouse Celestine, Dillon Neie, and Mercedes Alonso. Christopher is also survived by his aunts and uncles, Lydia Seeney, Terry Conley and husband Phillip, Tina Riley, Robert Seeney, John Zappa, and Carol Anderson and spouse Whitey, as well as his mentor, Al Granger, and numerous other loving family and friends.
He was preceded in death by his grandmother, Cora Seeney; his mother-in-law, Donna Broomes; his cousins, Kirby Cummmings and Phillip Dwain Conley, Jr.; his nephew, Trent Dunbar; his aunts, Susie James, Tammy Jackson Busby, and Mary Ellen Brown; and his uncle, Michael Seeney.
Christopher's warm heart, infectious humor, and loving spirit will be profoundly missed by all who had the privilege of knowing him.
