Shon Sterling, 39, of Orange, passed away on August 12, 2021, in College Station, Texas.

Funeral services will be 2:00 p.m., Wednesday, August 18, 2021, at Turning Point Church, 3600 N Main St, Vidor, TX 77662 Officiating will be George Gau. Burial will follow at Hillcrest Memorial Gardens in Orange

Visitation will begin at 1:00 p.m., Wednesday, at Turning Point Church in Vidor.

Born in Orange, Texas, on August 10, 1982, he was the son of Pete and Delores Sterling. Shon was the proud owner of Nutrition with Attitude serving the community of Nederland. Shon was a gifted musician, always able to captivate an audience whether in the church or at home with his guitar and beautiful voice. He was a devoted follower at Turning Point Church in Vidor, where he helped spread the message of the Lord through singing and playing in the Praise & Worship Band. Shon also helped with the youth within his congregation. When he wasn’t in the church he loved to play golf with his son Mason, spending time on the water, and being with his family. Shon served three tours of duty with the Air Force including volunteering for Hurricane Katrina in New Orleans. Shon was the kindest man you could ever meet and was the type of person that never met a stranger and loved everyone. He was someone you could always count on and was always ready to give you the biggest bear hug. Shon will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved him.

He is survived by his son, Mason Sterling; his POPS, Pete and loving mother Delores Sterling; brother, Dean Sterling and wife Kristi; niece, Madison and nephews Pearson and Hudson Sterling of Uvalde, TX; brother, Scott Sterling and wife Stephanie; nephews, William and Jonathan Sterling of Baton Rouge, LA; and numerous loving friends.
