Cindy grew up in Lawton, Oklahoma, where her roots laid the foundation for a life rich in relationships and meaningful work. In 2011, she made her home in Orange, Texas, where she continued to build lasting connections and contribute to her community. For decades, Cindy devoted herself to a distinguished career at AT&T. She was affectionately known as “Grandma” by her grandchildren, a role she embraced with boundless love and joy. Cindy had a profound love for travel, never hesitating to explore new destinations and embrace different cultures. At home, she found comfort and creativity in arts and crafts, often retreating to her beloved “she shed”, which became a special place where her imagination flourished and her heart found peace. Cindy will be remembered not only for her accomplishments but for her kindness, her loyalty, and the warmth she offered to everyone around her. Every year i would always be so excited for summer because that meant i got to see my grandma and visit her in Texas. Me and her would count days the days until we got to see eachother and it was such a funny silly thing we did. We would go tanning, do crafts, watch movies, all types of stuff together and we would just have a great time no matter what was going on. One of my biggest regrets will be not talking to her more when i could’ve. She never once judged me when i went to talk to her. Grandma ill keep that bunny and always have you with me, i love and miss you more than i can put into words.

You've been in my life since you were born. We were sisters, best friends, daughters, wives and mothers together. From red light/green light and mother may I in the back yard, from roller skates, arcades and teen clubs, from finding the right man in our lives, traveling, game nights, cooking and crafting (yes, I even learned how to do your Diamond Art), we did it all. You had the biggest smile and showed me how to love. I will miss our morning face time coffees but will love and think of you always. I will see you when I see you Baby Sister.

Cindy will be missed! Our common denominator was that our husbands were survivors of an ambush in Viet Nam on May 13, 1969. It was at the reunions of these guys that I got to know this beautiful, fun loving, card playing, outgoing and all around wonderful woman that I looked forward to spending time with. We have another reunion this year and it just won’t be the same without you. Save me a seat at the card table in heaven and be sure you have those BIG Cards. I will remember you every day when I read my Bible with those fancy gem bookmarks you gave me. Rodney we are thinking of you💔

Dearest Cindy, I'm so sorry I didn't get a chance to say goodbye one last time. I will always have such fond memories of my time in Lawton/Fort Sill and getting to know you as you worked at the property where I was living. Though my stay was short, you were one who made that time there a wonderful memory with you friendliness, warm smile, and infectious laugh. I always remember you commenting on all my travel posts too. I'm glad we stayed in touch over the years, even if it was only on Facebook. You will be missed, and thank you for your positive impact on my life. Kisses to you in heaven

My mom is Lori. I've known my Aunt Cindy my whole life. I actually didn't understand that she wasn't my actual Aunt until way later than it should have taken me to figure it out, and then it just didn't matter. She was my Aunt. Some of my favorite memories in my life include Aunt Cindy. She would come to visit, paint my nails and my toes while teaching about how to paint my nails, then she would put my hair up, and we'd drive into town. Just to drive. Blaring Michael Bolton full blast, with the top down in her convertible. She was the best and I will always love my Aunt Cindy.

I've known Cindy since we were young teen girls. We met at Doe Doe Park Skate Rink in Lawton, Oklahoma. We became instant best friends. 50+ years later we are still best friends. She has a special light that shines very bright. She was a people person and everyone loves her. I'm so blessed that she's my best friend. Always in my heart. We love you Cindy, Mom Rikki, Love You Mean It, Love You Mostest, Later Taters. 💗
