Clara O’Neil Odom, 92, of Orange, Texas, passed away on October 28, 2023, in Vidor, Texas.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m., Wednesday, November 1, 2023, at Claybar Funeral Home in Orange. Officiating will be Brother Jessie Wright of Caney Creek Open Door Church in Vidor. Burial will follow at Hillcrest Memorial Gardens in Orange, Texas.
Visitation will be prior to the service, beginning at 1:00 p.m., Wednesday, November 1, 2023, at Claybar Funeral Home in Orange.
Born in Shelbyville, Texas, on April 29, 1931, she was the daughter of Dallas Lynch and Florene Eddins Lynch. Clara adored gospel music and was a very involved member of Caney Creek Open Door Church in Vidor, Texas. She also loved fishing and would take any chance she could get to be out on the water with a line and a pole.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Dallas and Florene Lynch; her husband, G.R. Odom; her son, Lannie Odom; and her siblings, Lily Fontenot, Kate Mancel, Bea Poland, Sarah Broussard, James Lynch, and Mac Lynch.
She is survived by her son, Rafe Odom and wife, Donna; her grandchildren, Johnathon Odom and wife, Kelly, Dustin Odom and wife, Samantha, and Saprina Odom and husband, Robert; her 10 great-grandchildren; her sisters-in-law, Juanita Lynch and Paulette Powell; and numerous other loving family members and friends.
Serving as pallbearers will be Johnathon Odom, Darrell Poland, Maison Odom, Dustin Odom, Pete Wyatt, and Rafe Odom.
The family would like to extend a special thank you to Vidor Health and Rehab for their wonderful care.
She will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved her.
