Claud Eddie Gossett, 70, of Orange, died Saturday, January 11, 2014, at St. Elizabeth in Beaumont.
Funeral services will be 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, January 14, 2014, at Claybar Funeral Home in Orange. Officiating will be Reverend Randy Branch of Wesley United Methodist Church. Burial will follow at Evergreen Cemetery in Orange.
Visitation will be from 5:00-8:00 p.m., Monday at the funeral home.
Born in Kountze, Texas, on September 15, 1943, Claud was the son of Claud Junior and Myrtle Lee (Bobbitt) Gossett. He was a veteran of the US Army and attended Wesley United Methodist Church. He loved his job working as a carpenter and general foreman at Texas Dry Docks.
Claud is survived by his wife of 30 years, Linda Gossett of Orange; daughters, Kayce Richardson of Kountze, Vanessa Hatfield of Humble; sons, Geremy Howard and wife Deborah of Katy, Wesley Gossett and wife Monica of Vidor; grandchildren, Timberlee Gossett, Wade Petrie, Claudia Howard, Sarah Petrie, Creighton Gossett, Gage Howard, Bailey Hatfield, and Morgan Anne Howard; brother, Tim Gossett and wife Heidi of Silsbee; and nephews, Chad and Dakota Gossett.
Serving as Pallbearers will be Wesley Gossett, Geremy Howard, Larry Morton, Steve Click, Moe Louvier, and Chad Gossett. Honorary Pallbearers will be Creighton Gossett, Gage Howard, and Dakota Gossett.
