Clemmie "Johnnie" Ruth Dean

August 8, 1931 — December 9, 2021

Johnnie, Mom, Granny and Mighty Woman of God is finally home. Her multi-jeweled crown in heaven was placed on her head on 12-9-2021 after she took her last breath here on earth. Her smile was immediate as she saw her Lord and her precious husband “Victor” whom she has been eagerly waiting to see.

The world became a better place when she was born in Huxley, Texas, on 08-08-31 and was the baby girl of “Lit” Oswalt and Martha Ida Metcalf Oswalt. Her parents, sisters and brothers were also a part of the “great cloud of witnesses” waiting on her.

Continuing her legacy of Loving God are her three daughters: Vickie Crowson, Donna Padgett and Kaye Sims (Jimmy). Also, her grandchildren who have been covered in prayer their entire lives: Jeff Witterstaeter (Laurie), Jay Crowson (Brandy), Jessica Carmichael (Lane), Zach Padgett (Karon), Colby Padgett and Haley Williams (Brent). Her prayers also included her 18 great-grandchildren. She is also survived by her sister, Ann Permenter and brother, Billy Windham.

Our Mom loved to serve both in her church and anywhere there was a need. She was famous for her Chicken and Dumplings and Sweet Potato Biscuits. She was a fisherman, seamstress, cook, volunteer, investor, counselor, crafter, listener, pea-sheller, gardener and helped Dad with his many building projects.

A private family service will be held in Huxley, Texas

Special thanks for the awesome caretakers at Golden Years in Orange.
