Clifford Anthony Bodin, Jr., 76, of Bridge City, Texas, passed away on November 12, 2019, at his home in Bridge City.
Funeral services will be 10:00 a.m., Saturday, November 16, 2019, at Claybar Funeral Home in Bridge City. Officiating will be Father Michael Strother of St. Helen Catholic Church in Orangefield, Texas. Burial will follow at Hillcrest Memorial Gardens in Orange.
Visitation will be from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., Friday, November 15, 2019, with a recitation of the Rosary at 6:00 p.m., at Claybar Funeral Home in Bridge City.
Born in Port Arthur, Texas, on April 12, 1943, he was the son of Clifford Anthony Bodin, Sr. and Hazel Marie (Derouen) Bodin. After working his way up in the boating industry for 47 years, Clifford retired from Kirby Island Marine as a towboat captain. He was a faithful member of St. Helen Catholic Church. Clifford loved his family, and especially enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren. He also enjoyed all kinds of sports. Clifford will be missed by all who knew and loved him.
He was preceded in death by parents, Clifford and Hazel Bodin; and his siblings, Evelyn Richard, Arthur Bodin, Henry Bodin, Timmy Bodin, and Lou Broussard.
He is survived by his loving wife of 57 years, Diann Bodin of Bridge City; his children, Susan Denise Zernial and husband Larry of Mauriceville, and Richard Allen Bodin and wife Pam of Orangefield; his grandchildren, Kyle Broussard and partner Jerad of Beaumont, Ashley Makowski and husband Chris of College Station, Sarah Weatherholt and husband Bradley of Austin, Shaun Bodin of Orangefield, Jennifer Farmer and husband Chase of Little Cypress, and Jason Bodin of Orangefield; his great-grandchildren, Ian Weatherholt, Cooper Makowski, Carter Makowski, and Tuff Farmer; and his siblings, Debbie Lane and husband Johnny of Houston, Fred Bodin and wife Patty of Gilbert, Arizona, and Joe Bodin of Orange.
Serving as pallbearers will be Johnny Lane, Allen Escagne, John Talbert, Larry Zernial, Shane Bodin, and Jay Matt.
