Clyde W. "Cappy" "Bill" Ricks, 93, of Bridge City, died December 21, 2010 at The Meadows in Orange, Texas.
Funeral services will be at 2:00 p.m., Monday, December 27, 2010, at Claybar Funeral Home Chapel in Bridge City. Officiating will be Reverend Brad Morgan, pastor of St. Paul United Methodist Church. Burial will follow at Hillcrest Memorial Gardens near Bridge City.
Visitation will be from 5:00-8:00 p.m., Sunday at the funeral home.
Cappy was born in Grand Cane, LA, and called Bridge City home for over 65 years. He was a flight instructor assigned to the Army Air Corps, a pilot for American Airlines, and a retired employee of DuPont Sabine River Works where he was known as "Bill". He and BeBe were long time members of St. Paul Methodist Church.
Cappy was preceded in death by his loving wife Billie Bess "BeBe" Ricks and son, Scott Davis Ricks.
Cappy is survived by his son, Ronald Ricks and wife Barbara of Goshen, KY; daughter, Lynanne Goodwin and husband, Albert of Mauriceville; seven grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.
