Congetta Barbara Osborne

Congetta Barbara Osborne, 94, of Bridge City, Texas, passed away on August 7, 2019, at her home.

Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m., Monday, August 12, 2019, at Claybar Funeral Home in Bridge City. Entombment will follow at Hillcrest Memorial Gardens in Orange.

Visitation will be from 7:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m., Sunday, at Claybar Funeral Home in Bridge City.

Born in Independence, Louisiana, on April 20, 1925, she was the daughter of Rosario Vittoria and Margaret (Sampere) Vittoria. Congetta came from a big Italian family and grew up working on a farm. She had a green thumb and a passion for gardening. She loved working in her yard and sharing her love of flowers and gardening with others. Congetta was a fun loving person with a great sense of humor. She enjoyed spending her spare time going to the casino, watching the horse races, and talking with her good friends, Virginia and Annie. She loved her family, especially her grandchildren, dearly. She will be missed by all who knew and loved her.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Rosario and Margaret Vittoria; her loving husband, Otis H. Osborne; along with several sisters and brothers.

Congetta is survived by her children, Dorothy Lipe and husband Ken, of Westmont, IL and Kenny Osborne and wife Lisa, of Orangefield; grandchildren, Sandy Hopkins and husband Gary, Kenny Lipe, Meagan Osborne, Ethan Osborne, and Lacey Chretien; numerous great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren; and her siblings, Pete Vittoria, Ann Arthur, and Jennie Reale.

Serving as pallbearers will be Ethan Osborne, Kenny Lipe, Jon Busceme, and Berkley Chretien.
