Connie Jean Bloom, 65, of Orange, passed away on November 12, 2020, in Vidor.
A memorial gathering will be held from 3:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m., Friday, November 20, at Claybar Funeral Home in Orange.
Born in Deridder, Louisiana, on August 11, 1955, she was the daughter of Frank Collins and Lurline Fitzgerald. Connie Jean was a one of a kind woman whom loved playing the penny machines at the casino. Her greatest joy was spoiling her grandbabies. Buddy was the light and love of her life. She was everyone’s “Connie Jean” and she was adored by everyone she crossed paths with. Connie Jean will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved her.
She was preceded in death by her loving husband, Ted Bloom; parents, Frank Collins and Lurline Fitzgerald; sisters, Joann Fairchild and Nancy Boling.
She is survived by her stepmother, Margie Collins; daughter, Nacona Bloom and Chad Tuter; grandchildren, Rylan Darby, Jade Tuter, Wyatt Tuter; brothers, Curtis Collins and Boogie Lafosse and wife Donna; sisters, Christine Mitchell and husband James, Sandra Fruge, Patsy McCosh and husband Brian, and Diane Strother; and brother in law, Dean Boling.

Connie and I started running around together as friends when I was only 6 or 7 years old. We always kept in touch no matter what was happening in our worlds. I LOVE You and MISS YOU so much SISTER. R.I.P.
