Connie Faye Morgan Chesney

Connie Faye Morgan Chesney, 71, of Lumberton, passed away on September 18, 2026.

She was born on July 15, 1955 in Victoria, Texas, the daughter of Lee Julian Morgan Sr. and Lois Faye Morgan.

Connie was a woman of deep Christian faith who built her life around the people she loved.

For most of her working years she managed Pauline's, the dress shop her mother owned in Victoria. She later worked for the Lumberton school district, and after a move to Colorado, for the city there. When her parents' health began to fail, she came home to care for them. She did it without hesitation, and she did it out of love.

She adored her grandchildren, and the time she spent with them was among the great joys of her life.

Anyone who knew Connie will tell you the same two things about her: she was kind, and she was sweet. It was the first thing people noticed and the thing they'll remember.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Lee Julian Morgan Sr. and Lois Faye Morgan, and by her sister, Glenda Sue Morgan.

She is survived by her son, Will Chesney, and his family, and by her brother, Lee "Rusty" Morgan Jr.

She is at home once more with the parents she so faithfully cared for.
