Corita J. Laughter Frederick

Corita J. Laughter Frederick, 81, of Orange, died Saturday, June 11, 2011, at her home.
Funeral services will be 2:00 p.m. Monday, June 13, 2011, at First Baptist Church Mauriceville. Officiating will be Reverend Kevin Brown. Burial will follow at Orange Forest Lawn Cemetery in West Orange.
Visitation will begin before the service at 1:00 p.m, at the church.
Born in Edna, Texas on September 3, 1929, Corita was the daughter of Robert G. and Maudie Stella Shows Laughter. She was a member of First Baptist Church Mauriceville and served as a Sunday School teacher for most of her life. She was a Cub Scout Leader, and was PTA President of Jones School with life time membership.
She was preceded in death by her parents; son, Milton Ray Hayes; and sisters, Neina Mae Farrow and LaVern Dahmer.
Corita is survived by her daughters, Deborah Goforth and husband Keet of Orange, Teresa Pierce of Houston; daughter-in-law, Nancy Hayes of Crosby; and grandchildren, Stacey Gauthier and husband Joe, Milton Hayes and wife Jenny, Kristy Phillips and husband Jeremy, Nikki Parrish and husband Steve, Jason Smith and wife Christy, Eric Smith and wife Heidi, and Bret Turner.
She is also survived by her great-grandchildren, Courtney Jacob and husband Josh, Bryce, Mica, and Tyler Bush, Donovan Reif and Oliver Gauthier, Dylan and Grayson Hayes, Cody, Jacob, and Sophie Phillips, Drew Parrish, Samantha and Sara Smith, Payton, Zachary, Caleb and Nathan Smith, and Dallin Turner; and great great-grandchild, Josie Jacob.
Serving as Pallbearers will be Bret Turner, Eric Smith, Jason Smith, and Milton Hayes. Honorary Pallbearers will be Jeremy Phillips, Steve Parrish, and Joe Gauthier.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the First Baptist Church Mauriceville Building Fund, 11540 Hwy 12, Mauriceville, Texas 77632.
