Curtis Leroy "Lee" Clark

1933 ∼ 2025

Curtis Leroy "Lee" Clark

Lee Clark, 91, of Orange, Texas departed from his earthly journey on January 17, 2025, to begin his

eternal one with Jesus Christ, whom he accepted as his Lord and Savior at an early age. Lee was

born on December 14, 1933, in Belton, Texas but spent most of his early life in New Braunfels, Texas

before moving to Orange in 1968.

He moved his family to Orange for his new job and long-time career working for Orange Savings &

Loan as a Mortgage Lender and Vice President for 25 years. During those early days, a Savings &

Loan was the only place allowed to provide home mortgages. He loved his time at Orange Savings

because he got to meet nearly every new homeowner in Orange County, helping them to make their

dream of home ownership a reality.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Norma Jo Clark, and his daughter, Devi Jo Clark Duncan, his

mother, Ida Louise Clark, and his sisters, Louise Eller, Nancy Toney, and Billie Dauer.

He is survived by his brother, Fred Clark and wife, Cookie; his son, Scott Clark and wife Joline; his

grandsons, Chris Clark and wife Kayla, Justyn Kuykendall and wife Laura, Jason Duncan and wife

Rachel, and Taylor Duncan; his granddaughters Chloe Clark, Sydne Clark, and Bailee Clark; along

with numerous nephews and nieces and 8 great-grandchildren.

Lee loved to bowl and play golf, but mostly he loved spending time with his family. His family was

truly his treasure.

He graduated from New Braunfels High School in 1952 where, as a senior, he was the starting point

guard for the Unicorns Basketball Team. At age 26, he bowled the first perfect game (300) in the

history of New Braunfels, TX. Playing golf later in life, he hit 3 holes-in-one.

Regardless of his sports accolades, he poured his heart into his family. We will miss his smile, his

happy, positive light and we will miss his "pea joke" that he told every Thanksgiving - and we will do our best to make him proud and carry on his legacy.

Funeral services will be 2:00 p.m., Saturday, January 25, 2025, at Claybar Funeral Home in Orange. Burial will follow at Hillcrest Memorial Gardens in Orange.

Visitation will be from 1:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m., Saturday, January 25, 2025, at Claybar Funeral Home in Orange.

The services will be live streamed through www.claybarfuneralhome.com.
