Curtis Lawrence Green, 66, of Orange, Texas, passed away on June 17, 2025, at Harbor Hospice.

A memorial service will be held at 11:00 A.M., Saturday, June 28, 2025, at Full Gospel Holy Temple, located at 911 Main St. Orange, Texas. Pastor Larry Brooks Sr. and First Lady Abbigail Brooks will be officiating.

Born in Orange, Texas, on April 7, 1959, he was the son of Theo Curtis Green and Mary Zula (Jolivette) Green. He leaves behind a legacy of love and care that touched everyone around him. Curtis was a proud graduate of West Orange Stark and was known as a jack of all trades. He had an extraordinary knack for fixing anything that needed repair, a talent he shared freely with friends and family. His generosity extended to taking care of everyone's yards, showcasing his love for landscaping and working outdoors. Above all, Curtis cherished his family deeply, especially his grandkids, who brought him immense joy. He adored his wife, Hilda, loving her with all his heart. His passion for cooking, particularly his famous beans, was a delight to all who gathered around his table. He had a sweet tooth for Oreo cookies and took pride in keeping everything clean, whether it was laundry or his home. Curtis was also a devoted fan of the Dallas Cowboys and enjoyed spending time with his brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, and father-in-law. His faith was important to him, reflected in his membership at Full Gospel Holy Temple. Curtis leaves behind fond memories for all who loved him, and he will be greatly missed.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Theo and Mary Green; grandson, Elijah Robinson; granddaughter, Raven Jackson; siblings, Nelson Declouet Sidnette, Michael Green, James Green, and Linda Declouet.

He is survived by his loving wife of 42 years, Hilda Brooks Green; daughter, Tiffany Nicole Green “Pig”, Elboney Green Robinson and husband Gerald, and Alisha Green; son, Caleb Lawrence Green; grandchildren, Micah Douglas, Germarcus Robinson, Eli Robinson, Payton Robinson, Jennifer Jackson, and Elizabeth Jackson; sister, Hazel Colburt and husband Billy; brother, Paul Declouet; and many other loving family and friends.

Cremation will be held under the direction of Claybar Funeral Home in Orange.
