Daisy Marie Cooper, 97, of Jasper County, died Monday, September 29, 2008, at Jasper Memorial Hospital.
A private burial was held Tuesday, September 30, 2008, at Orange Forest Lawn Cemetery in West Orange, under the direction of Claybar Funeral Home in Orange. A memorial service is pending.
Mrs. Cooper was born on November 16, 1910, in Holland, Kansas, the daughter of Charles and Nora Darling Hartman.
She was a ham radio operator, whose call letters were WA5 TYH and she loved to water ski, roller skate and garden.
Preceded in death by her husband, Lewis V. Cooper, Sr., she is survived by her daughter, Virginia Delano of Call; son, Lewis V. Cooper, Jr. of Huntsville; brothers, Marvin Ersham of Colorado, Ervin Hartman of Arizona; four grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren.
