Funeral services for Dale H. Stone will be at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, October 20, 2007 at Claybar Kelley-Watkins Funeral Home with burial to follow in Magnolia Cemetery. Visitation will be from 5-7:00 p.m. on Friday.

Dale Howth Stone was born September 14, 1917 in Beaumont, Texas to David and Geneva Stone and passed away October 18, 2007 in Beaumont. He was a resident of Beaumont most of his life with the exception of five years in England, two years in Spain and one year in Sumatra working with an international construction company. He graduated from Beaumont High School and took special courses at Lamar University. In his young life he followed the Rodeo Circuit and is in the Texas Cowboy Hall of Fame located in Belton, Texas. He rode in rodeos at Madison Square Garden, New York, Calgary, Canada, Cheyenne, Wyoming and most all of the United States.

He is preceded in death by his parents, a brother, David Stone and his son, Dale Coe Stone.

He is survived by his wife, Rosa Lee Kane Stone; daughter, Diane Hare of Silsbee; grandson, Sherman Dale Hare of Lumberton; graddaughter, Patricia Kirby of Silsbee; stepson, Dale Cudd of Lumberton; two nephews, Mike Stone of South Gate, Califoria and Donny Stone of Jensan Beach, Florida; three great-grandchilden, Joe and Jake Kirby of Silsbee and Tori Hare of Lumberton.
