Daniel “Danny” Gholson, 74, of Orange, passed away on March 11, 2022, in Orange.

Dan Gholson, born on January 20, 1948 to Enid Carey Gholson of Orange. He went to Anderson Elementary in Orange, graudated from West Orange High School and then went to college as a Texas Longhorn and graduated with a Business degree. Dan met his wife, JoAnne Toenges in Houston and they married in Gregham, Oregon on February 16, 1980, and live there for two years before moving back to Orange.

He was preceded in death by his father, Davis Samual Gholson; sister, Carolyn Jeannette Trammel; and mother, Enid Carey Gholson, all of Orange.

Dan leaves behind his wife of 47 years, JoAnne Gholson; and his step-daughter, Sharlean Perio; and two granddaughters, Madasan Rea Anne and Julia Rose and numerous cousins.

Visitation will be from 5:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m., Wednesday, March 16, 2022, at Claybar Funeral Home in Orange.

Funeral services will be 10:00 a.m., Thursday, March 17, 2022 at Claybar Funeral Home in Orange. Officiating will be Wanda with Best Hospice. Burial will follow at St. Mary Cemetery on Meeks Drive in Orange.
