Daniel Ray Roberts, 58, of Orange, passed away Friday, January 31, 2014, at Baptist Hospital in Beaumont.
Funeral services will be 10am, Monday, February 3, 2014, at Claybar Funeral Home Chapel in Orange. Officiating will be Reverend Jay Thomas, pastor of MacArthur Heights Baptist Church in Orange. Burial will follow at Autumn Oaks Cemetery in Orange.
Visitation will be from 5pm to 8pm, Sunday at the funeral home.
Born in Port Arthur, Texas, on August 25, 1955, Daniel was the son of Carey F. Roberts and Betty J. (Irby) Roberts. He was owner of Gulf Coast Hermetics in Beaumont and a member of several Hot Rod and Street Rod Clubs. Daniel loved his cars, friends, family, and traveling, especially to car shows. He was the best husband, father, and son anyone could imagine.
Daniel is survived by his wife of 34 years, Ometta Roberts; parents, Carey and Betty Roberts; sons, Daniel Blake Roberts, Derek Allen Roberts; sisters, Carrie Sue Kite and husband, Andy, Jeanette Peveto and husband, Kenny; brother, David Roberts and wife, Stephanie; numerous nieces and nephews; and Joshua Tant and wife, Jessica, who was like a son and daughter-in-law.
