Darrell Lynn Pierce, 59, of Bridge City, passed away on May 4, 2021, in Bridge City.

Funeral services will be 11:00 a.m., Monday, May 10, 2021, at Second Baptist Church in Bridge City. Officiating will be Reverend Bobby Hoffpauir. Burial will follow at Hillcrest Memorial Gardens in Orange.

Visitation will begin at 10:00 a.m., Monday, at Second Baptist Church in Bridge City.

Born in Houston, Texas, on August 25, 1961, he was the son of Wiley Frederick Pierce and Bettye JoAn (Stephens) Pierce. Darrell was a devoted member of Second Baptist Church where he served his Lord faithfully. He enjoyed riding motorcycles, fishing, working on vehicles and various motors and going to drag races. Darrell adored his grandchildren and loved every chance he was able to spend surrounded by his family. He will be deeply missed by all those who came to know and love him.

He was preceded in death by his father, Wiley Pierce; and son, Jeremy Pierce.

He is survived by his mother, JoAn Pierce; loving wife, Nancy Pierce of Bridge City; son, Kent Pierce; grandchildren, Jeredan Pierce, Cameron Pierce, Raylen Kley, all of Bridge City; sister, Beth Lee and husband Richard of Bridge City; niece, Daphne Lee; and aunt, Jeanette Wingate.

Serving as pallbearers will be Jeredan Pierce, Cameron Pierce, Tommy Dixon, Richard Lee, Kent Pierce, Adam Venable, Trey Rhodes and Victor Romero.

Services are under the direction of Claybar Funeral Home in Orange.

I worked with Darrell for many years until my retirement from BASF. He was good man, a good worker and always had a positive attitude and a smile on his face. Sending prayers of comfort to his family. Rest in peace, Compadre.

I have known Darrell since he was in 6th grade for he was a good friend of our son, Brian. They graduated together from Bridge City HS. My sympathy and heartfelt prayers go out to his entire family.
