Darrell Lee Wolfford, 80, of Orange, passed away on August 19, 2020, in Beaumont.
Funeral services will be 2:00 p.m., Friday, August 21, 2020, at Claybar Funeral Home in Orange. Officiating will be Brother Dale Lee. Burial will follow at Hillcrest Memorial Gardens in Orange.
Visitation will begin at 1:00 p.m., prior to the funeral service, at Claybar Funeral Home in Orange.
Born in Orange, Texas, on September 17, 1939, he was the son of Dennis “Denny” Wolfford and Ruby (Burch) Wolfford. After graduating from Bridge City High School he went on to become a painter for Livingston Shipbuilding for a number of years. Darrell was a simple man at his core with a deep-rooted love for his family. He enjoyed fishing, camping, going to the casino, riding on his boat and spending time at the beach. Darrell was known for always being a character and his big personality. He was lovingly referred to as Pawpaw by his grandchildren and great-grandchildren whom he adored. Darrell will be deeply missed and cherished in the hearts of all those who loved him.
He was preceded in death by his loving wife of 58 years, Vivian Wolfford; parents, Denny and Ruby Wolfford; son, Dale Wolfford; three brothers; and one sister.
He is survived by his children, Dennis Wolfford and wife Sandra, and Darrell Wolfford and wife Kim both of Orange; grandchildren, Amber Rider and husband Brandon, Chassidy Jones and husband Joey, Courtney Lowe and husband Bryer, Catie Wolfford; step-grandchildren, Sara Schoenberg, Whitney Schoenberg, and Reagon Schoenberg; great-grandchildren, Braden Rider, Easton Rider, Jace Ramirez, Madison Sonier, Kalie Jones, Noah Jones, and Austyn Addison; and brother, Tommy Wolfford and wife Linda of Orange.
Serving as pallbearers will be Brandon Rider, Braden Rider, Joey Jones, and Bryer Lowe.
