David Rodney Bussell, 75, of Orange, Texas, passed away on February 5, 2019, in Beaumont.
Funeral services will be 2:00 p.m., Sunday, February 10, 2019, at Claybar Funeral Home in Orange. Officiating will be Reverend Keith Tilley of Faith United Methodist Church and Reverend Randy Branch of Wesley United Methodist Church. Burial will follow at Orange Forest Lawn.
Visitation will be from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., Saturday, February 9, 2019, at Claybar Funeral Home in Orange.
Born in Starks, Louisiana, on March 2, 1943, he was the son of Albert Bussell and Margaret Doyle. David served in the United States Army in the 8th U.S. Army Field Artillery Detachment. He loved baseball, bass fishing, and cooking his famous gumbo. David will be dearly missed by all those who came to know and love him.
He was preceded in death by his father, Albert Bussell, mother, Margaret Doyle, and step-father, Claude Hitt; loving wife of 44 years, Anita Bussell; and brother, Albert Bussell, Jr.
He is survived by his children, Jeff Bussell and wife Valerie, Jason Bussell and wife Lisa, and Kathy Bussell; grandchildren, Brittney Cruse and husband Greg, Zachary Bussell, Joshua Amaimo, Carter Lapeyrolerie, Aden Lapeyrolerie, Mackenzie Bussell, and Jaxon Bussell; great-grandchild, Kate Cruse; siblings, Randy Bussell, Don Bussell, Brenda Bendo; and best friend, Charles Winter.
