David Lee Erway, 42, of Vidor, Texas, passed away on April 25, 2020, at his home in Vidor.
Funeral services will be at 2:00 p.m., Friday, May 1, 2020, at Claybar Funeral Home in Orange. Officiating will be Reverend Jeff Bell. Burial will follow at Orange Forest Lawn Cemetery in West Orange.
Visitation will be held prior to the service, beginning at 12:00 p.m., at Claybar Funeral Home in Orange.
Born in Galveston, Texas, on March 8, 1978, he was the son of Corbin David Erway and Judy Lavon (Harvey) Erway. David worked for Mouton Insulation Service. He was a family man with a caring heart who adored his children. David could always be found helping out his kids and his friends and taking care of his mom. In his free time, he enjoyed being outdoors and going fishing with his grandfather. David was a light to those around him and he will be missed by all who knew and loved him.
He was preceded in death by his father, Corbin Erway; his brother, Joshua Paul Erway; his grandparents, Alberta Lavon Harvey, and Norma and Glenn Curran; and his great-grandparents, Jenny and Orville Braymer.
He is survived by his loving wife, Carey Erway of Vidor; his mother, Judy Erway; his children, Emily Marie Erway of Mauriceville, Brandon Paul Erway of Vidor, and Gabryella Deanna Erway of Vidor; his grandfather, Andy Fred Harvey of Orange; along with many loving aunts, uncles, and cousins.
Serving as pallbearers will be Daniel Pitts, William Harvey, Albert Harvey, Jr, Coby Harvey, Mathew Muller, and Russell Harvey.
