A man of many talents, David excelled at woodworking and restoration, and had an eye for fixing up homes. He also was a psychologist by trade, and initially put himself through college playing football. David's adventurous spirit led him to travel extensively and indulge in water rafting experiences. He enjoyed traveling in his trusty jeep, exploring the world around him. He particularly liked to spend time in the mountains, creating a lifetime of memories in Eagles Nest, NM. David will be fondly remembered for his wonderful sense of humor and outgoing nature. He always aimed to ensure that him and those around him were having a good time, be it dancing, antique hunting, or spending time tending to his orchids and other flowers.  His lively personality brightened many lives, leaving lasting memories of laughter and joy.  David will be dearly missed, but his memory will continue to live on through the hearts of those who knew and loved him.

He is preceded in death by his wife of 16 years, Susan Nimmo; and parents, Alfred and Dana Nimmo.

He is survived by his wife, Debbie Hagerman; son, David B. Nimmo and wife, Ashleigh; a grandchild on the way, Greyson David; siblings, Harlie C. Nimmo and Larry D. Nimmo; and beloved dog, Dallas.

David was a very special man! David and I became friends in junior high and the friendship lasted for all these years. He was an amazing caregiver to Susan. I was caring for my dad at the same time and David would call and we would compare notes and pray together. I will greatly miss his calls, visits, and advice. He was a wonderful friend and “brother”. I will miss him!

David was a dear friend and brother to so many! He led a life he loved and shared his love with others. David and I met in Junior High, one year we were crowned together as FFA King and Queen! My dad had a backyard earthworm place where they grew huge, in the rotten food mom would toss in there from time to time. David was going fishing and he came to buy worms from Daddy, only thing was he Made me dig those worm out of that crap, all the while I’m whining and he sitting that with this smirky grin on his face. He could be a stinker. He’ll certainly be missed. He was a great adviser when I needed an opinion. I know he believed in the Lord and I feel he is in fishing Heaven right now! No more body problems, he’s whole and well!! Helping the Lord to make a place for us! In Heaven we’ll be able to Love him all that we want, cause Jesus said to love your fellow man as He loves us! Can’t wait to see that face and smirky smile again!

I am so sorry mom. You finally found your soulmate and best friend. I knew right from the start and saw a side you I don’t think I’d ever seen before. The sparkle in your eye and excitement for life again. David was so generous and kind. He made me feel at home and part of his family the moment I met him. He will always be missed and loved. I am so thankful I got to know him.
