David Lee Porter, 55, of Orange, Texas, passed away on February 3, 2024, at his residence in Orange, Texas.
A Memorial Service will be held at 2:00 pm on Saturday, February 17, 2024, at Claybar Funeral Home in Bridge City.
Visitation will be held before the service beginning at 1:00 pm on Saturday, February 17, 2024, at Claybar Funeral Home in Bridge City.
Born in Flatwoods, Kentucky, on January 14, 1969, he was the son of Ed and Emogene Porter. David had a love for the outdoors, whether he was riding his side by side, camping, boating, or just hanging out with his friends. He loved the time he spent watching his grandkids participate in sports. He particularly enjoyed football and working outside taking care of the lawn. His family was a very important part of his life and was always in his heart. David was a construction welder for 27 years.
He is preceded in death by parents, Ed and Emogene Porter, his brothers, Michael Porter and Shawn Porter, and his grandmother, Edith Elliot.
He is survived by his loving wife of 29 years, Susan Porter, his children, Ciara Perry and her husband, Blake, Lauren Whipkey and her husband, Joshua, and Justin Temple. His 2 grandchildren, Paisley Perry and Brody Perry, and his sisters, Lisa Gonzales, and her husband Mike, and Linda Frederick and her husband, Charles, along with numerous nieces, nephews, and other family members.
