David Lloyd Sharp, 69, of Bridge City, passed away on September 3, 2021, in Beaumont, Texas.
Funeral services will be 3:00 p.m., Thursday, September 9, 2021, at Claybar Funeral Home in Bridge City. Burial will follow at Hillcrests Memorial Gardens in Orange, Texas.
Visitation will be from 2:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m., Thursday, at Claybar Funeral Home in Bridge City.
Born in Spencer, Iowa, on September 14, 1951, he was the son of Harold Lloyd Sharp and Wanda (Hungate) Sharp. David was a loving husband, father, grandfather, and brother. He was a wonderful family man that loved nothing more than an afternoon with his family playing games such as pinochle and making memories. He was known as “Pawpaw” to his grandkids, which he spoiled and doted on. Along with playing games, he loved to bowl with his family and friends, as well as going fishing and camping whenever he could. David was an amazing and loving man that spreaded joy to his family and friends, and he will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved him.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Harold Lloyd Sharp and Wanda (Hungate) Sharp; sisters, Peggy Wall and Linda Lenox; and nephew, Kyle Lenox.
He is survived by his loving wife of 31 years, Becky Sharp; daughters, Jennifer Sharp of Springfield, MO, Holly Kadlec of Fort Collins, CO, April Duke of Pineland, TX, and Monica Brack and husband Dillon of Bridge City, TX; grandchildren, Seth Courtney, Kirby Courtney, Kynlee Brack, Ryder Kadlec, Braylee Brack, Kash Duke, and Lincoln Duke; sisters, Debbie Iseminger and husband Ronnie, and Ginny Pippin and husband Greg; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Serving as pallbearers will be Dillon Brack, Shay Brack, Seth Courtney, Kirby Courtney, Eric Reed, and Tim Pikey.
