Born in Lakes Charles, Louisiana, on June 1, 1960, he was the son of Robert Franklin Taylor and Brenda Barras Taylor. Dean had lived in the Beaumont area since he was a child, and worked for numerous IT companies in the area. It can be hard to sum up the character or personality of a man like Dean in just a few words. He was smart as a whip, witty, and always joking and picking around with everyone. Dean greatly enjoyed his jeep, hunting at the lake, and hanging out with his buddies. The many deer he got each year testify to his love of hunting and the outdoors. Not much scared Dean, but he sure did hide when there was a girl’s weekend at the lake house. He was a jack of all trades and always the first person to call when you needed help. Dean was there for everybody, ready with support, guidance, or to lend a helping hand. He was truly loved and will be deeply missed by his family and friends.
He is preceded in death by his grandparents, Archille and Joyce Barras, and Marie Taylor.
He is survived by his parents, Robert and Brenda Taylor; daughter, Amanda Taylor and partner David Howard; and sister, Lisa Taylor Shoup and husband Tom; along with other loving friends and family.
Serving as pallbearers will be Mike Smith, David Howard, Bubba Babineaux, Darrell Williams, James Posey, Paul Traylor, Mark Auster, and Larry Sheffield . Honorary pallbearers are Billy Robbins.
