Deborah Richmond, 68, of Lumberton, passed away on January 20, 2020, in Silsbee.
A graveside service will be held at 2 O’clock p.m., Friday, January 24, 2020, at Haven of Rest Cemetery in Beaumont, Texas, with burial to follow.
Born in Jasper, Texas, on July 12, 1951, she was the daughter of Marcus Ener and Clifford Marie (Johnson) Ener. Deborah was a free spirit with a heart of gold. She was a proud member of the ZTA sorority in college. She loved music, kids, reading, and being around her beloved family. Deborah enjoyed playing the piano, riding dirt bikes in her younger years, and was an excellent cook. She was a wonderful Grandma DeeDee, making sure she attended everything she could for her grandchildren. Deborah was a woman of many talents including a former District Manager for Farmers Insurance for several years, a school teacher at Beaumont Independent School District, taught piano and voice lessons, and worked at Baptist Hospital for several years in admitting. She will be dearly missed by all those who came to know and love her.
She was preceded in death by her parents Marcus and Clifford Ener.
She is survived by her son, Dwain Cody Richmond and wife Stephanie of Lumberton; grandchildren, Seth Logan Yawn and Hunter Dwain Richmond; and sister, Suzanne Garrett and husband Leroy of Beaumont; along with numerous nieces and nephews.
